Overview: You can capture Eagle’s HQ without any problems in six days with the sacrifice of two unloaded T-copters. Use your funds from Eagle’s HQ capture to build a powerful air force capable of providing the power score.

Kanbei cannot follow the walkthrough exactly, but he does have his own walkthrough. Honestly, if you are aiming for an easy completion, use Eagle, though Sami can finish the map faster. Since AW1 does not have an in-depth enemy unit count, before capturing Eagle’s HQ, you must stop and count Eagle’s units for the purpose of the power score.

Day 1:

  • Build Infantry in NW and SW base.
  • Build T-copter in S airport.

Kanbei Day 1:

  • Build Infantry in all bases.

Day 2:

  • Move N Infantry 3W and begin capturing neutral base.
  • Load Infantry into T-copter and move T-copter 5E.
  • Build Infantry in NW and NE base.
  • Build T-copter in S airport.

Kanbei Day 2:

  • Begin capturing neutral base with NW Infantry.
  • Begin capturing neutral cities with remaining Infantry.
  • Build Infantry in NW and SW base.
  • Build T-copter in S airport.

Day 3:

  • Finish capturing neutral base.
  • Being capturing neutral cities with both N Infantry.
  • Move unloaded T-copter 6E.
  • Move loaded T-copter 5S 1E.
  • Build Infantry in SW and SE base.
  • Build T-copter in S airport.

Kanbei Day 3:

  • Finish capturing all neutral properties.
  • Begin capturing neutral city with NW Infantry.
  • Load Infantry into T-copter and move T-copter 5E.
  • Build T-copter in S airport.

Day 4:

  • Finish capturing neutral cities.
  • Begin capturing neutral cities with both S Infantry.
  • Move unloaded T-copter 6E.
  • Move loaded T-copter 6E and drop Infantry E.
  • Build Anti-Air in NE base.

Kanbei Day 4:

  • Finish capturing neutral city.
  • Begin capturing neutral cities with both E Infantry units.
  • Move loaded T-copter 6E.
  • Move unloaded T-copter 3S 2E.
  • Build T-copter in S base.

Day 5:

  • Finish capturing neutral cities.
  • Move T-copter 1S.
  • Begin capturing Eagle’s HQ with Infantry.
  • Destroy B-copter with Anti-Air from the south.
  • Attack enemy capturing Infantry with Infantry from the W and E.
  • Build Infantry in all bases.

Kanbei Day 5:

  • Retreat wounded T-copter if it survived.
  • Move loaded T-copter 5S 1E and drop Infantry E.
  • Move unloaded T-copter 3S.
  • Build Infantry in all bases.

Day 6:

  • Save here.
  • Count the amount of Eagle’s units, which should be around 12, including the destroyed B-copter.
  • Finish capturing Eagle’s HQ.

Kanbei Day 6:

  • Retreat wounded T-copter if it survived to a safe location. Remember, Eagle has a Fighter to the north.
  • Move T-copter 1S.
  • Begin capturing Eagle’s HQ.
  • Unit movement is at your discretion.
  • Build Fighter in N airport.

Kanbei Day 7:

  • Save here.
  • Count the amount of Eagle’s units, which should be around 12, including the destroyed B-copter.
  • Finish capturing Eagle’s HQ.

You can afford to be riskier with Sami’s HQ capture if enemy soldier units are nearby. The AI does not seem to attack your solider units if they are positioned on superior terrain unless a COP has been used. It’s better to be safe than sorry, so wound any nearby soldier units.

If Sami builds Artillery adjacent to her HQ, you can cripple the Artillery to 2 HP or less. The Artillery will retreat to nearby HQ cities, but it will not attack your capturing Infantry.

As mentioned earlier, AW1 does not have an in-depth unit screen detailing the total number of enemy units built. You will have to avoid destroying Sami’s units until you are certain you can achieve the power score on that day. This is far easier than it sounds. If you can cripple her units to 2 HP or less, the AI will retreat said unit and NOT attack with the injured unit until it is completely healed.
